1. What challenges did you discover when you started working with Lashes By Rk
When LashesbyRk came to us, they were doing about $20,000 a month on a WIX store. They wanted to move to Shopify and scale and knew we would be the perfect choice to help with that. They didn’t know Facebook ads, Google or email marketing to which we could help with them all.
The client struggled with managing scaling the business and the daily operations so needed a specialist agency in omnichannel marketing to help support profitable growth.
2. What strategies did you use?
Immediately we work on migrating them from WIX to Shopify which we did for free as part of the deal to help support their business. We don’t like to overcharge clients, we work on long term relationships so we helps migrate their store, products and optimize their new site using Debutify all for free. This was while we were also optimizing their marketing including:
- Facebook ads
- Google ads
- Email marketing
- Conversion tracking
- Google tag manager
- Google analytics
- Google merchant centre
- Shopify automation flow management
As we know how important the back-end is to support the front end we started there. Once the foundations were laid we immediately started working on cold traffic ads on Facebook and Google.
On Facebook we sold their most popular product first as logically it has the highest chance of converting on Facebook. We made custom creatives that we do in-house for clients, got approval for that and copywriting and launched them. We used broad interests in ABO for testing to start with.
While doing that we configured the Facebook catalog as they have a lot of SKU’s we knew Dynamic product remarketing was essential to help support sales. As specialists in this space we know how powerful this campaign is and it to-date is the best performing campaign due to it remarketing products based on the experience of the customer. With a solid offer for them to return it works wonders.
Once that was done we setup Google search, Google shopping, Youtube shopping, Gmail shopping, Display shopping and remarketing on all of them so customers see their products wherever they go.
Google ads takes about 30 days from setup to get valuable data, but while it does take that time we did bid adjustments and optimized bidding strategies for the highest clickthrough rates, lowest CPC and best ROAS.
3. What happened after implementing the strategies?
The results were beyond astonishing. Within 2 months we took the brand from $20,000 a month to $80,000-$100,000 a month consistently as per the below screenshot. This is a 4X growth while increasing profitability margins which no other agency is able to do like we can.
We see traffic increased, revenue went through the roof, orders, conversion rates all skyrocketed from optimizing all parts of the brand.
We can see Google ads really excelled under our marketing guidance getting 8.78 ROAS which is exceptional for an ad account with no data. We did a lot of testing as you can see from the paused campaigns. We launched:
- Brand search campaigns
- Smart shopping campaigns
- Dynamic remarketing campaigns
- Performance max campaigns
- Youtube shopping
- Gmail shopping
- Display shopping
- Google shopping
And with daily management we have been able to take market share even from competitors in her space that have been using google ads a lot longer.
While on top of this we find Facebook ads is saturated and found that it is best for remarketing. We were able to get a great cost per purchase still from tight management and bidding strategies from manual bidding campaigns.
We launched approved copy and creatives for cold, warm and hot customers. To get new customers, remarket to those who were showing interest and remarketing to those who had past purchased.
Most people forget remarketing is the real key to growth, and we are specialists in that on Facebook to maximize sales while reducing your cost per purchase.

4. What roadblocks did you experience along the way?
We have numerous roadblocks along the way the main ones being:
- Client budget limiting scaling, so worked close with the client to increase budget slowly
- Stock issues due to our sales getting them too many sales so we had to pause ads at times and change products
Those were the main issues, so each time we pivoted to new products to keep revenue stable and help the business grow. Each time we had a meeting with the client and got permission to market new products and increase spending closely as we know these are very important.
We always make sure to work closely with our clients as we know these are the realities of ecommerce DTC brands, so we take as much proactive approach as possible to avoid any communication problems.
