1. What challenges did you discover when you started working with Giali Lashes

When Giali Lashes came to us, the brand was moving from WIX to shopify to help support the growth of the brand for the short, medium and long term.

As part of our service we provided support with the migration and the theme Debutify to help support sales for her brand. They were doing about 25,000 a month and wanted to scale past $50,000 a month in revenue and slowly growth month on month. They were about 3 years old at this stage and knew that we would help them with paid ads from Facebook, Instagram, Google, Youtube, Gmail, Email marketing and website development.

2. What strategies did you use?

Immediately we work on migrating them from WIX to Shopify which we did for free as part of the deal to help support their business. We don’t like to overcharge clients, we work on long term relationships so we helps migrate their store, products and optimize their new site using Debutify all for free. This was while we were also optimizing their marketing including:

  1. Facebook ads setup
  2. Google ads setup
  3. Email marketing setup
  4. Conversion tracking setup for Google, Facebook
  5. Google tag manager setup and configuration
  6. Google analytics setup and configuration
  7. Google merchant centre setup, configuration and automation
  8. Shopify automation flow management setup, configuration and automation

LIke with our other clients we go above-and-beyond to help our clients in our service as we know times are tough and want to support them with our expertise to help support their goals over the long term.

The brand had many issues from the migration, especially strategy and tracking issues which we fixed in the onboarding part as part of our processes. This is normally something we charge extra for, but we did it for free as we believed in the long term of the brand and helped them achieve results they never would’ve otherwise.

Once we had that setup, reporting was setup and we got creatives for facebook setup, ad copy too and approved from the client before publishing. We then start remarketing on Facebook as the traffic was quality traffic and knew this would boost sales immediately.

As you can see from the screenshot above, this worked perfectly, for this brand we found that ecommerce products were not converting well. This is due to saturation that facebook ads is saturated but we found her courses were selling well and extremely profitable, so we met with the client and focused on them. Since then the ROAS has been above 7XROAS(return on adspend) which is insane for the course.

This is why remarketing was bringing in sales of ecommerce products just cold not working due to saturation.

To address cold traffic scaling we used Google, as we find Google is far better for that than Facebook ads these days because people are searching for the products it always converts higher and cheap, more qualified traffic. So we pushed Shopping campaigns there being smart and performance max. This means we were marketing on Youtube, Gmail, Display, Search all at once using the best campaigns optimized daily.

We then also started email marketing too which is the best form of marketing period, we do this for clients to give them a competitive edge. From flows to emails, sms and popups we did it all!

3. What happened after implementing the strategies?

The results were from $20,000 to $73807 in a single month due to our combined efforts to scale the brand. This is why increasing profit, increasing sales, stability, customer retention, branding, tracking, all of it.

We are very proud of these results,a s you can see customer traffic skyrocketed 85%, conversion rates 27%, returning customers 188%, average order value 25%, and orders up 142%. This is something we do every month for clients and aim for a 20-30% increase in revenue month on month and we are confident we can do it because we work on the back-end so much.

As you can see from Klaviyo alone 16% of revenue was just from email marketing campaigns we had launched. You can see the flows there that are generating sales, and the campaigns. We focused on the campaigns to maximize immediate sales and working on custom flows for the long term. This helped the brand get $11,142 for just a subscription of $100 a month. On a ROAS on adspend is 111X ROAS. Beyond amazing for the first month and only improves as we optimize it.

We can see Google ads really excelled under our marketing guidance getting 8.78 ROAS which is exceptional for an ad account with no data. We did a lot of testing as you can see from the paused campaigns. We launched:

  1. Brand search campaigns
  2. Smart shopping campaigns
  3. Dynamic remarketing campaigns
  4. Performance max campaigns
  5. Youtube shopping
  6. Gmail shopping
  7. Display shopping
  8. Google shopping

And with daily management we have been able to take market share even from competitors in her space that have been using google ads a lot longer.

We found on Google ads the conversion cost was about 75% cheaper due to the platform, and as you can see, you can see why. The campaigns are stable, converting at over 7% on average, which is extremely high. This comes from the creatives and ad copy being strongly aligned and targetted perfectly for the marketing objectives. We use bidding strategies to help support this.

4. What roadblocks did you experience along the way?

The main roadblocks we had were migrating from WIX to Shopify. This was something we agreed to help with to help the client as part of the package. Normally we charge $2,500 for this, but we did it for free to help them out. It had challenges due to the products not migrating across. Once we fixed that though the tracking issues we had to fix manually but it was much easier in Shopify.

Once we had the baselines the main issue was the budget and finding what products convert on what platform. When running multiple platforms, some products do well on Facebook, but bad on Google for example. Because we are lash marketing experts we had a strong idea and focused on those products and courses which is what allowed us to scale so quickly. We knew courses were in hot demand on Facebook and the products were in hot demand on Google so we focused on that strategy. This was while working with the client to ensure all branding was aligned at all times.
